Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant from a mining services or manufacturing background to join their team in Tete, Mozambique.

Responsibilities:

• • Monitor and evaluate daily finance activities.
  • Developing and implementing systems to collect, analyse, verify and report on information to monitor financial status.
  • Managing and overseeing month and year end processes, accounts payable / receivable, treasury, asset and account statement reconciliations etc.
  • Financial reporting, maintaining general ledger and producing monthly financial statements.
  • Budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
  • Monthly and annual audits.
  • Ensuring compliance.
  • Continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Record keeping.

Requirements: Qualification and Skill

• • BCom Accounting Degree or similar.
  • OCAM or CA (MOZ) registration.
  • Fluent English and Portuguese communication skills.
  • 8 years’ experience in accounting roles in mining services or manufacturing with at least 5 years as Senior Accountant.
  • Expert in local legislation, regulations and compliance.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office, Primavera and Dynamics.
  • Strong focus on accuracy and attention to details.
  • Able to delegate and oversee subordinates.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • This role is only open to Mozambican nationals.
