Our client is looking to hire a Barista to prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, including various types of coffee and tea.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop a range of creative cocktails and demonstrate barista skills to enhance the overall dining experience for guests.
• Maintain personal hygiene, adhere to dress code, and follow safety protocols.
• Ensure the crockery, cutlery and glassware are clean and polished before service.
• I am correctly taking food and drink orders and communicating the order details to the kitchen staff.
• Prepare and serve cocktails/Coffee with precision and creativity.
• Control breakages of operating equipment and participate in stock-taking as required.
• Promote special dishes, beverages, or desserts to guests and upsell other products/services, including cocktails and beverages.
• Participating in incentives to drive sales and promote café
• Taking customer orders promptly
• Working closely with the kitchen team to ensure correct meals are delivered.

Requirements

• Certificate/diploma in Food and Beverage.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a high-end restaurant.
• Good oral and written communication skills (English & Swahili).
• Must have good knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Must be able to make cocktails/Coffee.
• He/she should be a good team player and possess excellent customer service skills.
• Be flexible and willing to work in shifts.
