Our client is looking to hire a Barista to prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, including various types of coffee and tea.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop a range of creative cocktails and demonstrate barista skills to enhance the overall dining experience for guests.
- Maintain personal hygiene, adhere to dress code, and follow safety protocols.
- Ensure the crockery, cutlery and glassware are clean and polished before service.
- I am correctly taking food and drink orders and communicating the order details to the kitchen staff.
- Prepare and serve cocktails/Coffee with precision and creativity.
- Control breakages of operating equipment and participate in stock-taking as required.
- Promote special dishes, beverages, or desserts to guests and upsell other products/services, including cocktails and beverages.
- Participating in incentives to drive sales and promote café
- Taking customer orders promptly
- Working closely with the kitchen team to ensure correct meals are delivered.
Requirements
- Certificate/diploma in Food and Beverage.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a high-end restaurant.
- Good oral and written communication skills (English & Swahili).
- Must have good knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Must be able to make cocktails/Coffee.
- He/she should be a good team player and possess excellent customer service skills.
- Be flexible and willing to work in shifts.
