Plan Covering Years 2025 To 2029

Tanzania Mortgage Refinance Company Limited (TMRC) is a private sector company which was incorporated in January 2010 and started operations in January 2011 to implement the Housing Finance Project (HFP) on the development of the mortgage market in Tanzania. Currently, TMRC has 19 shareholders.

TMRC is a secondary market lender providing liquidity to Primary Mortgage Lenders (PML) through the extension of long-term loans to PMLs. TMRC is licensed and regulated by the Bank of Tanzania (B0T) as a non-deposit taking institution. TMRC is also regulated by the Capital Markets and Securities Authority (CMSA) as a corporate bonds’ issuer.

The Current TMRC 2020 -2024 Strategic Plan (SP) will expire in December 2024. TMRC has set aside funds for the review of its current SP and preparation of the new SP covering 2025 – 2029 period. The consultant shall be engaged in March 2024 to undertake the assignment and is expected to present the first draft to the Board of Directors in May 2024. Upon receiving the input from stakeholders including the Board, the consultant is expected to present the final report to the Board in August 2024.
