Key Responsibilities:

Communications (50%)

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy that aligns with our mission and is relevant to both local and international stakeholders.
  • Create engaging and compelling content for newsletters, blog posts, stories, press releases, and social media platforms, maintaining a consistent, engaging online presence and documenting our work.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with media outlets; coordinate coverage of our initiatives.
  • Produce compelling success stories and case studies demonstrating the impact of our programs.
  • Monitor and engage with social media inquiries and comments to maintain a positive online reputation.
  • Analyze communication metrics to assess effectiveness; ensure messaging consistency across channels.
  • Manage and update the website to reflect current programs and events; manage online events and webinars.
  • Oversee the production of branded materials to support outreach efforts.

Marketing (15%)

  • Plan and execute marketing campaigns for programs, events, and fundraising activities.
  • Collaborate with partners and sponsors for co-promotion; conduct market research to expand reach.

Creative (10%)

  • Capture high-quality photos and create videos to document and highlight our work.
  • Design graphics for communication materials, ensuring they are engaging and informative.
  • Contribute in the creation of fundraising materials

Admin (25%)

  • Assist in managing daily office operations, including administrative tasks and the coordination of events and meetings.
  • Handle stakeholder communication through emails and phone calls while maintaining and updating records, databases, and filing systems.
  • Provide logistical support for projects and travel arrangements, including the preparation of reports and presentations.
  • Facilitate the procurement and collection of office supplies, and manage inventory systems.
  • Support additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in communications, marketing, preferably with an NGO
  • Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with social media management and content creation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
  • Passion for community development and women’s empowerment.
  • Proficiency in digital photography, video production, and graphic design is a plus.
  • Administrative and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent technology skills with proficiency in various software, internet tools, and digital platform.
