The Project Manager will manage the day-to-day activities of the project, including activity planning, budgeting, supervision of staff, and project implementation. They will oversee the field operations in Kalomo and Mazabuka and supervise the field officers based in these districts. Key responsibilities include:
1. Activity Planning: Develop and oversee the implementation of detailed project plans, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines.
2. Budgeting: Manage project budgets, including forecasting, monitoring expenditure, and ensuring compliance with donor requirements.
3. Supervision of Staff: Provide leadership and guidance to project staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
4. Project Implementation: Ensure the effective and efficient execution of project activities, monitoring progress and addressing any issues that arise.
5. Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with local stakeholders, including the Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources, traditional leaders, and camp extension officers, to ensure their active participation and support for project initiatives.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience working in Agriculture and Rural Development, Monitoring and Evaluation, or a related field.
Qualifications:
Degree in agriculture/natural resources management or related field.
