Trainee Farm Managers

Central Poultry Broiler Division situated at Njewa soon after the Lilongwe Air Base (Air Wing) seeks the services of Trainee Farm Managers.

The Trainee Farm Managers will undergo training for a period of one year and after successful completion of the training, the Managers will be confirmed into Farm Manager Positions.

The Trainee Farm Managers will undergo training in the following areas; –

1.   Day to day planning, organizing, supervising and executing of activities on the Poultry Farm.

2.   Managing the Broiler Farm and taking care of Broiler Chickens from brooding to maturity.

3.   Ensuring the quality of the farm’s output, meeting health and safety regulations, and maintaining a sustainable and profitable farm operation.

4.   Managing farm workers, keeping records for all farm activities and transactions, and maintaining and repairing farm property and equipment.

Qualifications and Skills

A relevant Degree in Agriculture from a recognized institution. Extensive knowledge and understanding of farming best practices specifically poultry farming practices to increase farm output.
Problem-solving skills to react quickly and appropriately to farm emergencies.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with farm workers and customers.
