Key Responsibilities
• Has knowledge and experience in sample collection procedures.
• Preparing specimens for laboratory testing, and performing basic laboratory tests.
• Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
• Updates patient records.
• Familiar with general concepts of Infection prevention and control
Person Specification
• Certificate/Diploma in medical laboratory.
• Prior experience as a phlebotomist technician is a plus
•Adept at venipuncture, phlebotomy, and finger sticks
• Excellent verbal and written communication and documentation skills
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR)
• Interpersonal skills and compassion
• Knowledge of infection control procedures
• Attention to detail
• Basic computer skills
