Duties

Conduct gender equality and social inclusion (GESI) assessment on the execution and implementation of the Hydrogen Society Roadmap (HSRM) by including dimensions on gender and youth.

Develop measurable targets and indicators identifying the percentage (%) of women and youth led-SMEs involved for piloting refueling stations for heavy transport.

Provide clear recommendations for capacity enhancements in form of GESI assessment report which includes a gender strategy and action plan, purposed to make the HSRM more gender responsive and inclusive for other vulnerable groups.

MINIMUM ORGANIZATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Education

Advanced university degree in social sciences, economics, business administration, international relations or other relevant discipline with specialization in areas of relevant discipline, is desirable.

Technical and Functional Experience

At least seven (7) years of professional experience working in the field of gender equality and gender mainstreaming, is required.

Working with government institutions and international or non-governmental organizations supporting gender and development work is required.

Thorough understanding of the gender context in South Africa is required.

Ability to write in a clear and concise manner is required. Experience in evaluating the needs, conditions and problems in developing countries, is required.

A good understanding of the policy framework of South Africa is desirable. Ability to work effectively in multi-cultural teams is desirable. Experience in liaising with various stakeholders, including government officials, demonstrating strong communication skills is desirable.

Languages

Fluency in written and spoken English is required.
