Roles and Responsibilities
Under the supervision of a Nutrition Manager, the intern will undertake the following tasks:
- Support the functioning of the community-based nutrition platform and the delivery of essential nutrition services.
- Monitor the implementation of the nutrition prevention programme through End User Monitoring and prepare briefs.
- Support the design and implementation of food systems intervention for improved maternal, Child and adolescent nutrition.
- Monitor and support the visibility of the nutrition prevention programmatic activities through human interest stories and social media.
- Attend nutrition section meetings and contribute to programmatic deliberations and agreed actions.
- Conduct field visits for technical support.
To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…
- Enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate or PhD degree program in nutrition, public health, Social Science, Health Education/promotion, or related technical field have graduated within the past two years.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Have excellent academic performance as demonstrated by recent university or institution records.
- Have no immediate relatives (e.g., father, mother, brother, sister) working in any UNICEF office, and have no other relatives in the line of authority that the intern will report to.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office is required.
- Good interpersonal, networking and communication skills.
- Willingness to contribute and work as part of a team.
- Flexible and open to learning and new experiences.
- Respect for diversity and adaptability to other cultures and working environments.
- Fluency in English is required.
