Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Communication Strategy Development:

  • Identify key messages, themes, and communication channels to effectively reach diverse CSBAG stakeholders,

Content Creation and Management:

  • Create compelling content for various communication channels, including website articles, blog posts, social media posts, press releases, and newsletters, to showcase CSBAG’s work, research findings, and advocacy initiatives.
  • Manage CSBAG’s online presence and digital platforms, including the organization’s website and social media accounts, to ensure consistent branding, messaging, and engagement with followers.

Media Relations and Outreach:

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with journalists, media outlets, and influencers to secure media coverage and amplify CSBAG’s advocacy messages and policy recommendations.

Advocacy Campaign Support:

  • Provide communication support for CSBAG’s advocacy campaigns, including developing campaign materials, organising events and mobilising supporters through online and offline channels

Monitoring and Evaluation:

  • Track and analyze the performance of communication activities, including website traffic, social media engagement, media mentions, and audience feedback, to assess effectiveness and inform future strategies.
  • Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in communication, journalism, public relations, or a related field.
    • Proven experience in communication, media relations, or public affairs, preferably in the non-profit sector or advocacy organizations.
    • Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft clear, concise, and persuasive communication materials for diverse audiences.
    • Strong digital literacy and proficiency in using communication tools and platforms, including website content management systems, social media management tools, and email marketing software.
    • Creativity, initiative, and a passion for social justice and advocacy.
