A failure analysis engineer is responsible for analyzing and determining the root cause of product or equipment failures. Below are the responsibilities and requirements successful candidates should possess.
Responsibilities
• Conduct detailed failure analysis investigations on products or equipment.
• Develop and implement plans for addressing root causes of failures.
• Create reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve failure trends.
• Perform risk assessments to prevent future failures.
Work with suppliers to improve product or equipment quality.
Requirements
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, Telecommunication, Computer Science or related field.
• Experience with failure analysis techniques. Simple repair techniques in mobile phone included.
• In depth understanding of PCBA/mobile phone analysis repairs.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Experience with quality control and/or manufacturing processes is a plus.
