Responsibilities:

  • Sort green coffee beans manually or using sorting equipment to remove defects, foreign matter, and impurities.
  • Inspect each coffee bean visually or with the assistance of sorting machinery to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Separate coffee beans based on size, shape, color, and density, following established sorting criteria.
  • Remove defective or damaged beans, such as broken, discolored, or moldy beans, to maintain product quality.
  • Operate sorting equipment, such as color sorters, gravity separators, and density graders, in accordance with safety protocols and manufacturer instructions.
  • Monitor equipment performance and make adjustments as needed to optimize sorting efficiency and accuracy.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the sorting area, including equipment, work surfaces, and storage containers.
  • Follow quality control procedures and protocols to prevent cross-contamination and ensure compliance with food safety regulations.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in coffee sorting or a related field is preferred but not required; we are willing to provide training.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to differentiate between coffee bean characteristics, such as color, size, and shape.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity to perform repetitive tasks, including standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 kg .
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic math skills for counting and recording sorted coffee beans.
    Willingness to adhere to safety protocols and follow instructions accurately.
