Job description

The position is embedded in Barry Callebaut Ghana’s local sourcing team, with direct reporting to the Traceability Coordinator. The candidate would manage and coordinate field activities with respect to traceability issues. This role is field based and will be reporting to the Traceability Coordinator – Ghana.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate activities of Warehouse Manager/ Traceability Officers on Traceability
  • Offer technical backstopping to traceability staff within his/her zone of operation
  • Analyze traceability data and share results with the team
  • Be the K-App point of contact in the field and ensure appropriate entries
  • Available to assist field team whenever needed on App issues
  • Plan visits to assigned districts to supervise activities of Warehouse Manager/ Traceability Officers
  • Verify and confirm farmer listing/deliveries with PC at the society/PC level are updated and have a passbook with up to date records to reflect at all levels of aggregation
  • Ensure volumes delivered by a farmer is recorded in both the PC stock control book and farmer passbook, verify and confirm deliveries
  • Follow policies and confidentiality dictations to safeguard data and information

About You

  • First degree or HND in either Economics and or Statistics, IT, Agri-business or related field with minimum 2 years of professional experience in field data collection.
  • Good knowledge in use of Data Collection tools and able to use analytical tools like Power BI, Excel and other Microsoft Office suite
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with professionals and individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Fluent in English and able to speak a local language
  • Must be willing to travel in and around rural communities and live a rural community.
  • Knowledge of Cocoa business is a plus
  • Self-motivated with good organizational and time management skills.
