Main responsibilities and tasks
Leadership technique
- Develop the child protection cadre for the mission, in accordance with the mission protection strategy and the global protection cadre.

- Develop synthesized documents on the main domains of intervention in relation to child protection, describing our specific response.
- Provide prevention and mitigation measures for identified protection risks for children in the community
- Let us know that the teams working with the children are trained in communication and training methods adapted to the children.
- We show that the management of child protection files brings a basic emotion to the basis adapted to children, in a convivial manner, and that action plans respect the child’s superior interior.

- Producing regular reports on the trends in child protection work carried out in the mission, identifying the risks related to child protection and analyzing if our responses are best suited to address these risks.
Coordination
- Develop the intervention cadre in child protection matters for the mission, in accordance with the mission protection strategy and the global protection cadre.

- It will contribute to the conception of the strategy of protection of the mission and provide a useful technique and assistance in the implementation of the components contained in the protection of the child.
- In coordination with the coordinator of protection, support the contextualisation and adaptation of internal and global directives, in detail to what are the most important issues in the field and in accordance with personnel.
- Ensure cohesion and harmonization of activities and services linked to the protection of the child at the different sites of implementation of the mission.
- In coordination with the protection coordinator, organize formations and workshops with the intention of personnel charged with protection to strengthen their skills on the subjects linked to the protection of the child who is currently identified.
- Support the coordination of protection in the organization of formations and workshops with the intention of personnel not charged with protection in order to strengthen the skills and knowledge of the princes liés for the protection of the child and to enable them to ‘intégrer la protection de l’enfance dans leurs secteurs.

Supervision and management of personnel
- In coordination with the coordinator of the protection, organize ad hoc meetings on the protection of the child with the personnel in charge of the protection in order to share the objectives and priorities in the domain of the protection of the child and to work on it des action plans pour y faire face.

- Enter into collaborative work relations with the sectorial groups concerned and the work groups connected to the national level and/or on the terrain.

- Work in the workshop with the child protection specialists of other missions to share the best practices and resources.
Education
- License in a relevant domain (social sciences, psychology, social work, human rights, international human rights or other domains linked to social development and human work).
- Souhaitable Master (MA or LLM) en droits de l’homme, en droit humanitaire international or in a connected domain.
Professional experience
- After four years of relevant professional experience in the fields of protection (note the protection of the child), preference for an ONGI, and two years for a higher education diploma (Master/LLM ).
Professional requirements
- Solid theoretical knowledge, techniques and practices in child protection matters
- Excellent IT master (word, excel and internet)
Languages
- The maitrise du Français is obligatory
- A good night in English and/or local languages is a plus
