Project Implementation (40%)
- Coordinate the timely implementation and reporting of all WACRESS Project Agriculture and Livelihoods interventions to enhance visibility within the scope of the project.
- Be involved in community mobilization, targeting and monitor movement and distribution of Agriculture and Livelihoods related inputs/equipment.
- In consultation with Agriculture and Livelihoods Manager, organize and draw work plans
- Where possible in liaison with Agriculture and Livelihoods Manager link Agriculture extension services to other existing institutions and organizations.
- Planning and implementation of agriculture and livelihoods trainings and supervision in coordination with the relevant stakeholders
- Ensure that agriculture and livelihoods interventions are aligned with the WV partnership strategic direction, standards, child well-being outcomes, FSL technical approaches and internationally recognized FSL standards in South Sudan.
Effective Resource Management (10%)
- Prepare up cash request to facilitate field activities, budgets including monthly cash projections and properly keep records of field expenditures.
- Ensure value for money in regards to all transaction involving World Vision resources.
Effective Monitoring and Evaluation (15%)
- Conduct surveys, assessments to continually identify FSL related gaps and needs in the WACRESS Project target areas.
- Follow up, inspect and ensure project inputs/equipment are delivered as per specified measurements at field level in timely way, and make follow in case of delays.
- Conduct regular field visits to project site and update the Agriculture and Livelihoods Manager with the progress of project activities in the field.
- Submit weekly implementation updates.
- Prepare regular and comprehensive project progressive monthly reports.
- Participate in project evaluation.
- Regular monitoring and follow up of partners to ensure the proper implementation of planned activities by coordinating with the field office.
- Ensure regular and timely documentation of and reporting of the FSL activities, and collection of project indicators according to World Vision International and donor standards.
Capacity Building and Staff Development (10%)
- Identify training and development needs of agriculture extension workers and make recommendations to Agriculture and Livelihoods Manager.
- Facilitate water management trainings to staff and targeted participants.
Supervision (10%)
- Supervise agriculture extension workers including: determining workload, delegating assignments and monitoring performance then provide recommendations to Agriculture and Livelihoods Manager.
Coordination and Visibility (10%)
- Attend agricultural meetings with partners and stakeholders in the field
- Collaborate with extension workers and other staff to enhance integration with other sectors
- Represent WV at field level with local government officials and other agencies.
- Coordinate with the relevant authorities, cluster agencies and community leaders for the involvement of all stakeholders and sustainability of the program
- Support integration with other sectors (WASH, Education, Protection, Food Assistant, Health and Mainstream DRR/FCPA in FSL programming).
Any other Business (5%)
- Perform other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above
Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification
- Minimum Degree in Agriculture/Agriculture Education & Extension/Animal Production/ Farm Management/Sustainable Agriculture or other related field
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and experience
- Minimum 3 years prior experience in a supervisory position, with good understanding on principles of extension proven problem solving and decision-making skills
- 1 year experience in fragile context programming.
- Well knowledgeable with the context, the project will be implemented.
- Excellent report writing skills
