Supervises timely the enforcement of rules, operating manuals, codes of practice and standards on the provision of solid waste services in order to ensure compliance.
 Supervises effectively implementation of solid waste control measures in order to stop and minimize the generation of solid waste.
 Supervises and undertakes timely the management of complaints against solid waste service providers and operators in order to take appropriate remedial action.
 Supervises and undertakes effectively the conduct of research on topical and emerging issues in order to generate information for informed decision making.
 Supervises and undertakes effectively the monitoring and evaluation of Unit programmes in order to facilitate the development of appropriate interventions.

REQUIREMENTS
 Full Grade 12 School Certificate or equivalent.
 Bachelors of Science Degree in Environmental Health, Business Studies or equivalent.
 At least 4 years work relevant work experience.
