To supervise and undertake inspection of solid waste service providers and operators in order to ensure that efficient and timely solid waste collection services are provided to the residents of Lusaka city
Main Duties and Accountabilities (Without Limitation)
Supervises and undertakes effectively inspection of solid waste Management providers and operators in order to ensure compliance to set standards.
Develop and implement solid waste collection and transportation guidelines that are aimed at enhancing service delivery and safe guarding human health and the environment.
Supervises and undertakes effectively the assessment of solid waste service providers and operators in order to facilitate the issuance of licenses.
Supervises effectively implementation of solid waste control measures in order to stop and minimize the generation of solid waste.
Supervises and undertakes timely the management of complaints against solid waste service providers and operators in order to take appropriate remedial action.
Supervises and undertakes effectively the conduct of research on topical and emerging issues in order to generate information for informed decision making.
Supervises and undertakes effectively the monitoring and evaluation of Unit programmes in order to facilitate the development of appropriate interventions.
REQUIREMENTS
Full Grade 12 School Certificate or equivalent.
Bachelors of Science Degree in Environmental Health, Business Studies or equivalent.
At least 4 years work relevant work experience.
