To develop, manage, coordinate, network, implement and monitor a public relations and communication strategy and associated products and activities on an on-going basis with various public audiences, with the objective of promoting awareness and understanding of the Company and its activities.
Main Duties and Accountabilities (Without Limitation)
Undertakes timely and accurately preparation and issuance of press releases in order to update the public on the operations of the institution.
Develops effectively communication strategies and tools to monitor compliance and provide support and guidance on public perception of the Company.
Carry out timely and accurately preparation of responses to press and public queries in order to state the Councils position on topical issues.
Coordinates effectively production of brochures, magazines, newsletters, videos and other materials in order to facilitate the dissemination of information.
Plans and monitors the use of communication budgetary resources.
Ensures the timely archiving of media reports, videos, publications and magazines/brochures in order to maintain a record of information.
Undertakes effectively the planning and coordination of Public Relations events in order to create awareness on the operations and functions of the Company.
Coordinates and monitors the preparation, adjustment and implementation of a compressive communication strategy.
REQUIREMENTS
Full Grade 12 School Certificate or equivalent.
Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication, Public Relations, Journalism or equivalent.
Member of the Zambia Institute of Public Relations and Communication. .
At least 2 years work relevant work experience.
