Shining Hope for Communities (SHOFCO) is a non-profit organization based in Nairobi, Kenya and New York, NY that combats urban poverty and gender inequity in the slums of Nairobi.

Responsibilities

  • Support monitoring activities for assigned programs/projects
  • Develop and implement M&E plans and Frameworks as well as data collection tools for new /continuing programs/projects.
  • Support the Impact & Learning Manager in developing/strengthening the M&E system towards effective performance.
  • Proactively identify key program learning areas for evaluation
  • Conducting routine data quality audits and or onsite data Verification on programs planned activities to ensure data integrity
  • Conduct data analysis (qualitative & quantitative) and update program dashboards and periodic reporting templates
  • Coordinate effective program feedback loop in order for findings to improve the quality of project outcomes
  • Strengthen the capacity of the M&E team by identifying and facilitating training opportunities that increase the team’s competence on issues M&E.
  • Support Impact & Learning manager in conducting program/project evaluations, such as surveys, focus group discussions, interviews and case studies as need be.
  • Compile various periodic program/project reports for internal and external audiences.
  • Support the Impact & Learning Manager in responding to Senior Management or beneficiary data queries in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Conducting PMS reviews to the Data Assistants
  • Any other duty assigned in support of M&E activities

Job Competencies (Knowledge, Experience and Attributes / Skills).

Academic Qualifications

  • Diploma in Monitoring and Evaluation or any other related field

Professional Qualifications

  • Qualification in Monitoring and Evaluation or any other related field
  • Qualification in Quantitative and Qualitative data analysis softwares, STATA, SPSS, Nvivo

Other required qualifications (unique/job specific

  • Being proactively self-engaged in research and innovations in the field of M&E
  • At least 3 years of experience in the field of Monitoring and Evaluation
