A person seeking appointment as an Associate Professor must:
v Show evidence of outstanding performance in teaching, research, and industry-related
innovations in the candidate’s subject area, as well as contributions to his/her field;
v Have been appointed as Associate Professor in the relevant discipline in an accredited
tertiary institution in Ghana or elsewhere;
v Possess a PhD in the relevant field of specialization;
v Have the capacity for continuous research and dissemination of knowledge through
technology transfer and publications;
v A Senior Lecturer seeking appointment as an Associate Professor must have served at least
Four (4) years on the rank of Senior Lecturer and have at least ten (10) publications in
recognized peer-reviewed journals for external assessment.
