Responsibilities

• Participate in the development of the data analysis plan.
• Perform various tasks involving data cleaning and data analysis of food environment data as well as related factors at individual and household levels.
• Prepare tables and figures for manuscripts.
• Provide technical support in drafting of research papers, presentations, etc.
• Produce draft manuscripts on the food environment in Ethiopia, suitable for publication in high-level peer-reviewed journal.
• Participate in SHiFT team meetings as needed.

Deliverables

• Completed analysis on adolescents’ food environments in Ethiopia. Annotated dofiles and tables/figures related to manuscripts.
• Draft manuscript(s) on the food environment in Ethiopia, suitable for publication in a peer-reviewed journal.

• Required qualifications

  • Ph.D. degree in nutrition, public health, or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated experience with data management, processing, and analysis of large datasets using Stata.
  • Experience conducting health and nutrition research in Ethiopia.
  • Experience authoring and coauthoring academic papers.
  • Basic understanding of diets and food environment related issues.
  • Strong analytical quantitative skills as well as writing and research skills.
  • Experience working effectively to achieve demanding deadlines.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to multitask, focus, and work effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently while establishing strong working relationships.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy of work.
  • Excellent communication skills; proficiency in English and Amharic.
