Kenya Forest Service is a corporate body established under the Forest Conservation and Management Act no 34 of 2016 (henceforth referred to as the Act). The Act which was operationalized on 31st March 2017, gave the Service’s mandate as “to provide for the development and sustainable management, including conservation and rational utilization of all forest resources for the socioeconomic development of the country and for connected purposes”.
Entry Requirements :
- A diploma in Supply Chain Management from Kenya Institute of Supplies Management or its equivalent from recognized institution/CIPS part I
- Proficiency in computer applications
- Fulfilled the requirements of chapter 6 of the constitution.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Procurement of goods and services in line with the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Act and the Regulations
- Acting as the Secretary to all committees at the devolved level
- Receiving and issuing of stores
- Certifying suppliers’ invoices and payment vouchers for suppliers
- Maintaining reorder levels by initiating stock replenishment to ensure there are no stock outs.
- Maintaining stores and equipment records
- Ensure safe custody of stores and equipment
- Ensuring cleanness and orderly arrangement of stores
- Conducting periodic stock taking excises.
- Compilation of list of assets earmarked for disposal
- Promote public values and principles
- Mentoring and coaching
