Purpose of the position:

To assist in the development and implementation of marketing initiatives designed to position World Vision Zambia to achieve its goals by promoting its work and engaging stakeholders while increasing the organization’s capacity to engage existing and potential donors and generate resources for its ministry priorities and increase the influence of the organisation and its global brand, contributing to child wellbeing.

Responsibilities:

Develop marketing strategies and plans to achieve World Vison Zambia Field Office strategy

Plan, develop and execute marketing campaigns to promote World Vision Zambia strategic sector products and services

Develop creative and effective print and electronic marketing materials across various channels (social media, email, and website) that utilize best stories/ testimonials, program outcomes and engaging images

Working closely with cross-functional teams (Technical program, Area Programs, Resource acquisition, Communications, etc) to ensure sector marketing products and efforts align with World Vision Zambia strategic objectives and goal. This includes ensuring creative integration of programmes/projects by mapping out potential effective communication strategies for fundraising

Conduct market research and analyze consumer trends to identify target audiences and opportunities, threats, and areas for growth

Tracking and analyzing the performance of marketing strategies used ( including marketing campaigns, products/materials) against set goals , ensuring that all marketing materials are in line with WV brand identity and optimize Return on Investment and adjust strategies accordingly

Stay connected with WV Partnership initiatives and external stakeholders (especially for donors and local fundraising) on marketing initiatives and communication support, in addition to being aware of current good practices

Support development of the Resource Acquisition unit business development plan

Coordinate and plan all marketing events such as Shows, Exhibitions, Meetings, Launches and Social event

Work closely with communications, develop a resource base of influential Registered Children Alumni, produce documentaries where their life stories are documented and used for marketing purposes.

In conjunction with communication and the programme teams, identify potential stories of need for marketing.

Ensure adherence to WVI’s global branding guidelines both in style and content

Develop a database of documentaries, pictures and stories for use as and when an opportunity arises

Qualifications: Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications or related field. A Masters will be an added advantage
  • At least 5 years of experience in developing, execution and evaluation of marketing and campaign strategies in NGO or private sector
  • Knowledge of relevant marketing tools and platforms, such as Google Analytics, Adobe Creative Suite, and social media management tools
  • Proven experience in marketing, with a focus on digital marketing strategies
  • Ability to translate complex technical programs into concise marketing materials and products
  • Understanding of online marketing and fundraising platforms preferred
  • Traceable experience and knowledge in proposal development and design
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong creative and analytical skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and adhere to deadlines
  • Ability to work in and contribute to team building environment
  • Ability to maintain information integrity and security.
  • Must be innovative and creative
  • Cross-cultural sensitivity, flexible worldview, emotional maturity
