Job description

Greenlight Planet is on a mission to revolutionize rural energy access for the 1.5 billion off-grid villagers who use dirty, dangerous kerosene lanterns for light. In four years we’ve sold 1.6 million solar lights to off-grid families in South Asia and Africa— all paid for up-front, in cash— the latter 1 million customers acquired over the past year.

About the Role

The Agent Welfare Lead at Sun King will provide strategic guidance to the Agent Welfare Associates, ensuring alignment with the HR and company goals. They will ensure the collation and analysis of agent and field data to uncover root causes of issues and challenges, preparation of monthly and quarterly dashboards for HR, sales and business leadership, and highlight incident prevalence and risks while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure corrective action plans are developed and implemented across various departments.

What you would be expected to do

  • Provide strategic direction, guidance, and oversight to the Agent Welfare Associate team, ensuring all activities are aligned with the HR team and company goals.
  • Collect and assess data to investigate the root causes of emerging trends in grievances, safety-related matters, or breaches of human rights incidents. Identify underlying issues to develop targeted strategies for addressing and mitigating these concerns effectively.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly dashboards for HR and Sun King’s Sales management team, highlighting the prevalence of incidents and risks.
  • Develop and implement corrective action plans in working with cross-functional teams from Sales, Training, PAYG Programs, Human Resources, and Risk departments.

You might be a strong candidate if you

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in human resources management, with a strong focus on employee welfare, relations, and engagement.
  • A minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience managing a team.
  • A professional and accredited certification or degree in HR Management.
  • Strong data analysis and strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
