Reports to the Fleet Officer. The incumbent will be responsible for driving/riding CIDRZ and leased vehicles and/or motorcycles to achieve the goals and objectives of the organization through efficient delivery and service.
Main Duties
- Ensuring that assigned vehicle/motorcycle is clean and road worthy by making sure all requirements are in good working condition
- Arranging for refueling of vehicle/motorcycle
- Informing the Fleet Officer/dispatcher/TFPP in advance when each vehicle/ Motorcycle is due for road license and fitness.
- Delivering and picking up of mail from the clinics to CIDRZ offices
- Reporting immediately to the supervisor any observed malfunction on the vehicle/motorcycle as well as any accident
- Complying with Health and Safety regulations and safe working practices
- Ensuring that vehicles/motorcycles are handled appropriately, exercising due care and control
- Any other duties as may arise that are requested by CIDRZ management to fulfill the needs of the study as well as those of the organization.
Qualifications
- Grade 12 Certificate
- Minimum of a SADC Driving License class C
- Customer oriented mindset and good communication skills
- Multi-tasking and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of mechanics
- At least 3 years relevant experience in a reputable Organization.
- Must have a clean track record and aged between 28 and 45 years
- Must have good defensive driving skills
- Ability to work with deadlines and be a team player
- Honest and trustworthy
