Role Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections of electrical systems and equipment within the depot, including Batch Controllers, motors, control panels, wiring, and lighting systems.
- Ensure all electrical systems are functioning properly and comply with safety standards.
- Diagnose electrical issues and perform repairs on depot equipment and infrastructure.
- Use diagnostic tools and techniques to troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults promptly.
- Assist in major repairs and upgrades under the supervision of senior technicians or engineers.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new electrical systems and equipment.
- Support upgrades and modifications to existing electrical systems to improve efficiency and reliability.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to safety guidelines while performing electrical work.
- Report any safety hazards or incidents to the supervisor immediately.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
- Complete work orders and maintenance logs promptly.
- Report equipment status and any issues encountered during maintenance activities.
- Assist senior technicians and engineers with complex maintenance tasks and projects.
- Participate in training sessions and safety drills to improve skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- Diploma/Technical Trade Test or associate qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications or training in electrical maintenance & safety is a plus.
- 1-2 years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in an industrial or petroleum depot environment.
- Familiarity with industrial electrical systems and equipment.
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and equipment used in petroleum depots.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools.
- Understanding of electrical safety regulations and best practices.
- Basic analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to complete tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Effective communication skills to report issues and interact with team members.
- Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.
