Qualification and experience

Holder of Form IV or VI certificate plus Diploma (NTA level 6) in one of the following fields: Record Management, Archives or equivalent qualifications from recognized institution with a working experience of at list four (4) years in a related field.

Duties and responsibilities

  • To assist in tracing for records documents and files once required;
  • To participate in receiving and registering all documents brought in the registry;
  • To participate in arranging documents and files in racks or cabinets in the registry;
  • To assist filling in the appropriate files;
  • To receive, record and distribute incoming and externally created mails;
  • To record and arrange for the efficient and timely dispatch of all correspondences and;
  • To perform any other related official duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

GENERAL CONDITIONS

  • An applicant must be a Public Servant with a check number;
  • Applicants must attach an up-to-date Curriculum Vitae (CV) with reliable contact information; postal address/post code, e-mail and telephone numbers;
  • Applicants must attach certified copies of the following: –
    • Masters/Postgraduate/Bachelor/Advanced Diploma/ Form IV and Form VI National Examination Certificates;
    • Professional Registration and Training Certificates from Respective Registration or Regulatory Bodies (where applicable);
    • Birth certificate;
    • Letter of current designation;
    • An applicant must attach recent Passport Size Photo (coloured);
  • An applicant must have at least three years working experience in the field;
  • An applicant employed in the Public Service should route his/her application letter through his/her respective employer;
  • An applicant should indicate three reputable referees with their reliable contacts;
  • Certificates from foreign examination bodies for Ordinary or Advanced level education should be verified by The National Examination Council of Tanzania (NECTA).
  • Professional certificates from foreign universities and other training institutions should be verified by The Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU) and National Council for Technical Education (NACTE) respectively;
