About the role
The RD&A Technologist role focuses on driving the development and application of innovative food and beverage products, ensuring high-quality standards and customer satisfaction within our research and development team.
Key responsibilities
Project Management in Research & Innovation:
Leading projects from research through to application and commercialization.
Managing sensory evaluations specifically related to beverages.
Supporting beverage applications using equipment and processes.
Recipe Development:
Applying scientific principles to enhance product attributes beyond taste.
Refining existing application information and procedures based on customer feedback.
Product and Raw Material Support:
Maintaining stock of standardized products and raw materials.
Validating ingredient functionality and ensuring product stability and safety through shelf-life studies.
Documentation and Laboratory Skills:
Recording all research outputs and testing results as per protocols.
Hands-on laboratory work and data analysis.
Qualifications and skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Engineering, Chemistry, Microbiology, Biotechnology, or a related Applied Science field.
- Strong interest and understanding of ingredient functionality and recipe formulation.
- Innovative thinker with the ability to generate and implement new ideas.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while seeking guidance from senior team members.
- Preferably 1-2 years of experience in laboratory settings, food production facilities, or relevant industry internships.
- Team player with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail with strong numerical and analytical capabilities.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, capable of thriving in a dynamic environment with demanding deadlines.
