- As a Sales Engineer , you will be responsible for driving sales of our solar products and solutions.
- You will work closely with the sales and engineering teams to understand customer requirements, provide technical support, and ensure successful implementation of solar energy systems.
- Your role will involve identifying customer needs, designing customized solutions, and presenting proposals to potential clients.
Key Responsibilities
Sales and Business Development:
- Identify and target potential clients in residential, commercial, and industrial sectors.
- Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers.
- Generate leads through networking, cold calling, and other sales techniques.
Technical Support and Solution Design:
- Conduct site assessments and analyze customer requirements.
- Design customized solar energy solutions, including system sizing, component selection, and layout.
- Prepare and present technical proposals and quotations to clients.
Collaboration and Coordination:
- Work closely with the engineering team to ensure the feasibility and efficiency of proposed solutions.
- Coordinate with project managers and installation teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Provide post-sales support and address any technical issues that arise.
Market Analysis and Strategy:
- Stay updated on industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities.
- Contribute to the development of sales strategies and marketing plans.
- Provide feedback to product development teams on customer needs and preferences.
Customer Education and Training:
- Conduct product demonstrations and training sessions for customers.
- Educate clients on the benefits of solar energy and the specifics of our products.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Renewable Energy, or a related field.
- Proven experience in sales engineering, preferably in the solar energy industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of solar energy systems, including PV panels, inverters, and storage solutions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to understand and articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Proficiency in using sales and CRM software.
- Ability to travel to client sites as required.
