Ensure the development of a warning system for disasters in order to prevent them and mitigate their effects in the City of Kigali
– to collect and share information and technical skills necessary for disaster management.
– to participate in the analysis of disaster risks and damages;

– to collaborate with institutions in charge of the development of disaster early warning strategies and systems at national level;
– Put in place a mechanism for
providing the inhabitants of the City of Kigali with various information related to disasters.
– Support enhanced collaboration and sharing of ideas and approaches in the identification, communication and application of natural hazard risk information for improved preparedness.
– Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
