DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Doing all the medical work in the hospital related to oral and dental diseases.
• To participate in developing and managing the implementation of the Government Policy on oral and dental health.
• Supervising the implementation of national programs related to oral and dental health.
• To prepare self-development education for oral and dental health workers.
• Investigate, monitor and prevent disease outbreaks.
• Prepare plans and budget estimates for oral and dental services.
• Designing and preparing strategies to improve the quality of service in his field.
• Preparing access to equipment and other dental treatment needs at the national level.
• To advise the ministry on the operation of oral and dental health activities in the country.
• Supervising all activities related to oral and dental health professions in the districts and regions through the heads of health at those levels.
• Designing, managing and conducting research in various areas of health.
• To teach students in health colleges in his area of work.
• To teach and direct the servants under him.
• Providing medical legal services.
• To do other tasks assigned to him by his head of work related to his education, experience and skills.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Employed with a master’s degree in Dentistry (M.MED/M.DENT or PhD in the field of Dentistry) of three years or more from universities recognized by the Government. Be registered with the Council of Tanganyika Doctors.
