Qualifications:
• Holder of Bachelor Degree/Advanced Diploma in Accountancy, Commerce (Accounting), Accounting and Finance, or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
• Must have one of the following professional qualifications: CPA (T), ACCA, CIA, CISA, or ACA and be registered by NBAA as a Graduate Accountant with at least four(4)years of working experience in a related field from a recognized organization.
Duties:
• Prepare and advise on audit guidelines.
• Execute audits of all payments.
• Audit financial and inventory reports.
• Ensure financial and internal control systems are effective and consistent with institute financial rules and regulations.
• Audit revenue collection.
• Prepare budget and other audit reports.
• Ensure audit reports are prepared on time and submitted to relevant authorities.
• Prepare annual work plans.
• Ascertain the extent of compliance with prescribed plans, policies, procedures, and financial regulations.
• Advise on audit queries.
• Audit financial accounts.
• Review operations and procedures of the Institute’s expenditure.
• Review measures for safeguarding assets and audit inventories of stores.
• Analyze and correct audit reports.
• Authorize internal audit queries.
• Organize and supervise the staff auditing the expenditure of the Institute.
• Perform any other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
NB: Holders of foreign awards certificates must have the awards verified by the Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU) before employment.
