God loves the sinner for which reason he sent his son Jesus Christ to die for them. Preachers may not love sinners, but God loves sinners, and thats the reason he wants them saved. Some preachers seem to enjoy the idea of having sinners punished, but God is not that way. The bible says,”He is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance and to the knowledge of the truth.” God wants the worst of sinners converted into a saint. We should, therefore, never suppose there is anyone wicked enough to escape God’s love. Saul persecuted the church, but the LORD turned him into a great Apostle.
The reason many people are still walking in darkness is because Satan has blinded them. This is why we are to preach the gospel because the word of God is light. When light comes, darkness flees. Dont be bitter towards the sinners around you, the bible says in Romans 5:8 ” But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Not only are you supposed to bless the believers ,you also are to bless the sinners. Dont treat the unbelievers roughly because of their evil. Let the love of Christ manifest in you towards them. The LORD JESUS said in Matthew 5:46″ For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?” The mark of distinction is loving those who dont love you. It is not an impossible thing for the bible says in Romans 5:5 ” ..the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.”
You can genuinely love those who speak ill of you. You can love those who have done you wrong , God sent his son to a world that hated him and sinned against him. Instead of punishing us, he laid all our sins on his son Jesus and was punished for us. Nobody goes to hell for his sins today. People only go to hell for rejecting the one who bore their sins. This is why we have to preach the gospel and make people believe in Jesus Christ. The focus of Christianity is not that people should stop sinning and do good. The focus is the person of Jesus Christ who himself is life.
