Responsibilities
- Actively teach and provide a safe and stimulating learning environment.
- Adhere to the school’s code of conduct and ethics.
- Study and follow the curriculum and lesson plan as provided by the absent teacher or the principal.
- Apply various teaching techniques that are learner-centred.
- Prepare educational materials, such as notes, exercises, and additional resources
- Assign classwork and homework as required.
- Take attendance according to school policy.
- Grade learners’ assignments and provide constructive feedback.
- Keep track of students’ progress and write down information that will be useful to the regular teacher.
- Report any incidents regarding students’ behavior in and out of the classroom.
- Maintain a clean and safe class environment for students.
- Oversee school equipment, learning materials and ensure students use it properly.
- Assist learners who require more attention in academics or emotional development.
- Always supervise learners as required.
- Respond professionally to the learner’s needs.
- Be ready to take up other educational activities as assigned by the school management.
Qualifications
- Certificate in ECDE or Diploma in ECDE.
- Previous experience as a part-time or full-time teacher.
- 2-3 Years experience of working with children is a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of learning techniques and teaching methods in Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE).
- Excellent communication skills.
- The ability to remain patient and approachable while also maintaining an orderly classroom. Good classroom management.
- Great organizational skills.
