SoCha seeks a full-time, qualified MEL Specialist to support the associated MEL services on the Feed the Future GTI Activity. The MEL Specialist is a member of the core GTI MEL activity team and will report to the MEL/CLA Director. The MEL Specialist will work with the GTI MEL team and GTI Technical teams to:
- Plan and coordinate implementation under the oversight of the MEL/CLA Director.
- Develop data collection tools and integrate reporting system into adaptive program management cycle.
- Support the day-to-day execution of the Mission’s MEL and analytic work requests.
- Coordinate discrete work requests under the supervision of the MEL/CLA Director.
- Provide other MEL technical support as needed.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree, or higher, in a relevant field.
- At least five (5) or more years of M&E experience on donor projects; CLA experience preferred.
- Prior experience assessing impact in the agriculture and trade industry strongly preferred.
- Prior experience working with USAID, or similar donors, preferred.
- Prior experience working on a Feed the Future Activity preferred.
- Strong proficiency in English.
The MEL Specialist will have experience in one or more of the following areas:
Performance Monitoring, including:
Developing performance monitoring plans.
Designing and optimizing quantitative and qualitative indicators for international development projects.
Collaboration, Learning, and Adapting:
Coordinating with stakeholders.
Building institutional capacity and memory.
Incentivizing learning and sharing.
Relevant Sector Expertise:
Agricultural value-chains.
Ghana’s trade and investment landscape.
Enterprise-led development
Market-systems development.
