” And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water. And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.”

Faith is hard work. It’s not a passive agreement, but it’s a conscious decision that demands obligations. Many times, Faith calls you to ACT, contrary to what is observed in the natural world, and some have said that walking by Faith is taking a risk. Faith will prepare for the journey, trusting that your child is healed when the report says your child is seriously sick and has 3 hours to live. Faith will give an offering from little income, trusting that it is God that supplies my needs, not my job or salary. Faith is doing things based on the confident assurance of the integrity of the word. Faith is walking on water because Jesus said so, Faith means you don’t feel like it, but if God says so, then we do it.
Faith means we celebrate a miracle not because we are seeing it but because God said he has granted us the miracle. Faith means living by the fact that the word of God will never fail. People who walk by sight are too careful, they can’t give because they say I received a small salary, they can’t rejoice because they say things have gone bad at work, they can’t go to the village because they fear witches. Fear is a negative approach that sees Faith in God as unreliable a dangerous and unpredictable risk, but Faith is confident assurance. I may not feel like I have it, but God’s word says I have it, so I talk and act like I have it.
Faith sees victory, fear only sees disappointment . Brothers and Sisters, in these last days , don’t depend on your job, many companies will close down and you will know for sure that you should have learnt to trust God when you were taught so. You will never sink for walking on water if Jesus has said to you, come and you focus on him. The wind may be boisterous, but if you have him as your focus, you will prevail. If you want to walk by faith, come out of the boat and walk on water .
