Veteran Mission Hospital in Syokimau, Nairobi, is seeking a skilled and innovative IT Manager to lead our IT department and oversee a range of responsibilities including graphic designing, website management, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and supervise the hospital’s IT team, including system administrators, developers, and support staff.
• Develop and implement IT strategies and infrastructure to support hospital operations and business objectives.
• Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of hospital websites and digital platforms to ensure functionality, usability, and security.
• Coordinate with external vendors and consultants for IT projects and services.
• Manage IT budgets and resources effectively to optimize spending and achieve departmental goals.
• Implement and maintain IT security policies and procedures to protect hospital data and systems.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to hospital staff and end-users.
• Lead the implementation and integration of new IT systems and technologies, including electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Conduct regular audits and assessments of IT systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Develop and manage disaster recovery plans and business continuity strategies for IT systems.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in healthcare IT to recommend and implement innovative solutions.
• Collaborate with other departments to understand their IT needs and provide strategic solutions.
• Manage graphic design projects for marketing materials, internal communications, and patient  education materials.
• Ensure compliance with data protection laws and regulations, such as GDPR and HIPAA.
• Prepare and present IT performance reports and metrics to senior management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer  Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT management, preferably in the healthcare sector.
• Proven experience in graphic designing, website management, and digital marketing.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent project management and organizational abilities.
• Proficiency in IT infrastructure management, network administration, and cybersecurity.
• Experience with EMR systems and healthcare software applications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
