Veteran Mission Hospital in Syokimau, Nairobi, is seeking a highly competent and experienced Internal Security Manager to oversee our security operations and safeguard our patients, staff, and assets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive security policies, protocols, and procedures.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the hospital’s security team to ensure a secure environment.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and security audits to identify vulnerabilities and implement corrective measures.
- Oversee access control and surveillance systems to monitor and control entry to the hospital premises.
- Respond to security incidents, emergencies, and alarms promptly and effectively.
- Liaise with law enforcement agencies and emergency services as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal security regulations.
- Develop and conduct security training programs for staff to enhance awareness and preparedness.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of security incidents, investigations, and reports.
- Coordinate with other hospital departments to ensure security measures align with overall hospital operations.
- Manage the security budget and ensure cost-effective use of resources.
- Oversee the maintenance and functionality of security equipment and technology.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans and conduct regular drills.
- Investigate and resolve security breaches, thefts, and other incidents.
- Foster a culture of safety and security awareness within the hospital community.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Security Management, Criminal Justice, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., CPP, PSP) are a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in security management, preferably in a healthcare or hospital setting.
- Strong knowledge of security protocols, risk management, and emergency response.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze situations, identify potential risks, and implement effective solutions.
- Proficiency in using security systems and technology.
