- We are seeking a high skilled and motivated Engineering Buyer to join our dynamic team. If you have passion for ensuring smooth operations of Purchasing Department, implementing effective solutions and contributing to overall success of a growing organization, we are looking for you.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Managing inventories and maintaining accurate purchase and pricing records.
- Maintaining good supplier relations and negotiating contracts.
- Researching, comparing and evaluating prospective suppliers.
- Monitoring stock levels and placing orders as needed.
- Acting as an interface between suppliers and Engineering Department on purchasing processes.
- Purchase goods, materials, components or services in line with specified cost, quality and delivery request
- Negotiate prices and terms of business with suppliers and review opportunities to make business savings, utilizing negotiation and procurement best tools and methods.
- Prepare and raise purchasing orders and order schedules
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Bachelors’ Degree or in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field or its equivalent.
- Diploma in Purchasing & Supplies Management or CIPS professional qualification will be an added advantage.
- At least 5 years relevant working experience within a manufacturing setup.
- Good negotiation skills, commercial understanding and high levels of integrity.
