The Legal and Compliance Officer will be critical in ensuring the our organization complies with all legal and regulatory requirements.
The Officer will be responsible for interpreting and ensuring compliance with key statutes, regulations, and other legislation relevant to the company’s operations.
Additionally, he/she will provide legal advice to the Board and Management, draft and review legal documents, and represent the company in legal proceedings.
The Legal and Compliance Officer will report to the Country Head or Regional Head of Legal Services and perform any other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB)
Grade 12 School Certificate or its equivalent
Advocate of the High Court of Zambia and Member of LAZ with at least 5 experience years post Qualifying to the bar.
Valid legal Practicing Certificate
Ability to write comprehensive technical reports, legal opinions and legal drafting.
Fluency in official language
Minimum of three (5) years progressive and relevant experience.
