The University of Iringa history dates back to 1994 when the Evangelical Lutheran Churches in America. Finland and Germany supported the construction of the Lutheran Seminary for the Iringa Diocese of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania. The Seminary was changed to university status after the Tanzanian government changed the policy governing higher learning institutions to allow private sector to participate.
The University of Iringa offers Certificates and Diplomas for non-degree programs. Bachelor degrees for undergraduate studies, as well as post graduate degrees. Currently, academic programs are organized under Faculties in six discipline areas, namely: Theology and Mission, Business and Economics. Law, Psychology, Science and Education, Arts and Social Sciences. The University also has five Directorates and two Institutes: Microfinance, and the Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. It owns a Radio station and online television as well, and it is located at Iringa region Near Dodoma Road.

QUALIFICATIONS
Possession of LLB degree from a recognized institution. Also registered Advocate of the high court with at least 3 years experience in legal practice.
NB: Certificates from foreign examinations bodies and university should be authenticated by the National Examination Council of Tanzania (NECTA) And TCU
