Responsibilities
The Data Officer will provide support to the NTD Manager and Programme Officers in data management for five Preventive Chemotherapy (PCT) NTDs (Trachoma, Onchocerciasis, Lymphatic Filariasis, Soil Transmitted Helminths (STH) and Schistosomiasis). Assist in analysing programme data (Output Statistics), providing relevant and good quality data needed for programme design, planning, communication, fundraising and advocacy.
Further duties and responsibilities include:
Lead in NCO RLM related NTDs data management and analysis.
To work with partners in data entry and management for PCT NTDs and MMDP.
Collaboration with partners and programme teams in the effective and quality data entry for Oncho LF NTDs:
To support programme officers and partners to ensure all projects are appropriately documented and to ensure high quality and timely reporting.
Provide regular and timely data for reporting in the programme portal.
Track programme performance against set treatment and HRD targets.
Support each partner in quality data entry and management for NTDs.
Provide support in the scaling up DH.
Work with NTD manager, Programme officers and partners to ensure the standard reporting tools are used for data collection.
Provide support to Programme Officers in training and retraining of health workers, teachers, and CDDs in data management.

Skills and Experience
As the successful candidate you will have working experience, or BSc, or Higher National Diploma in Statistics or related disciplines. You will hold knowledge and experience in data entry, management and analysis of large volume of community data, including electronic data collection (DHIS), and possess extensive experience in data management.
Further requirements include:
Knowledge and experience in research and mapping (GIS).
Relevant experience in qualitative and quantitative data analysis.
Relevant experience in monitoring and supervision for NTDs.
Knowledge in Data Quality Assessment.
Experience in working in an NGO environment.
Ability to travel frequently within and outside the country.
An understanding of and commitment to equality of opportunity for disabled people.
