Design an information module in English for local and border officials on relevant regional and
continental frameworks related to migration, such as: the AfCFTA, including its Protocol on Women and Youth; AU Strategy for a Beter Integrated Border Governance; and the ECOWAS Free Movement
Protocols. The information module should focus on the following trading themes: ECOWAS/AfCFTA
trading rules and regulations; inclusion and gender mainstreaming; customer service in trade facilitation; and the intersection of migration, trade and health in border management.
Second deliverable
• Develop an information session to sensitze local and border authorities with the information module
and enhance their understanding of regional and continental frameworks related to migration.

Final deliverable
• Deliver an information session on the developed information modules on relevant regional and
continental frameworks related to migration.
The workshop will have to be delivered at the Aflao border in Ghana.
3. Education, Experience and/or skills required
• Advanced University degree in Trade, Migration Studies, Development Studies, Economics, International
Relations, Communication, Law, or a related field;
• A minimum of seven years of experience in the field of trade, development, migration, or a related field, with a demonstrable experience in informal cross-border trade;
• Experience and knowledge of the gender dynamics of trade;
• Experience leading the development and roll-out of capacity building programmes for government
officials in English;
• Good oral communication and writng skills;
• Fluency in English is required and fluency in a local language is an advantage;
• Strong organizational skills;
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
• Knowledge of the socio-economic, cultural and politcal context of Ghana is an
advantage;
• Knowledge of the labour migration context in West and Central Africa is an advantage.

4. Travel required
Travel to the Aflao border crossing point will be required for this consultancy.
