Manage the University’s online presence in coordination with the public relations office. And provide administrative and technical management of all facets of a principal university website, consisting of a comprehensive range of associated web pages.
- Implement the University’s web administrative related policies and procedures;
- Administer address assignment and access according to an approved plan and access policy;
- Design and manage primary University website in accordance with the university’s identity guidelines;
- Produce templates and designs of various Units web pages;
- Keep abreast of changes in social media and incorporate these within university systems;
- Ensure integrity of the University’s online presence through monitoring Web servers and their performance;
- Maintain records of who is ultimately responsible for website they host;
- Administer and monitor access levels including blocking unauthorized access;
- Perform any other relevant duties assigned by the Supervisor.
- Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or any other related field specialization in web design;
- Honours Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or any other related field with relevant hands on experience in web design and management;
- Relevant professional certification.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in managing online presence of large organizations
- Knowledge in web design and maintenance;
- Knowledge in managing Web Servers;
- Good conceptual skills;
- Output oriented;
- Initiative and innovation;
- Knowledge of open-source software and platforms and relevant programming languages
