This role will contribute to the growth of the portfolio, with a particular focus on business development, partnerships and go to market strategies. Success is measured by the ability to create sustained revenue growth and an effective customer and buyer experience through achieving and driving customer value propositions. The role and business unit aligns to Vodacom’s repositioning to a TechComm. The business unit accordingly is focused on establishing value and purpose driven digital media and consumer-based technology products and opportunities for both B2B and B2C channels. The role is supported by Technology, Product, Marketing and Data functions, which collectively is tasked with delivering on compelling solutions to our clients and customers.
Your responsibilities will include:
Act as the primary point of contact and collaboration with partners to identify product focused opportunities and outcomes
Constant focus on development to improve customer experience and channel management.
Create and implement incentive models that will drive achievement of targets across channels.
Provide clear direction to business partners to improve internal and external customer experience.
Resolve escalated customer queries from channel areas.
Engage business partners on an on-going basis using structured methodology.
Create and maintain key account engagement with partners
Manage OPEX spend for the division
Ensure delivery of financial and operational targets aligned to strategic targets
Ability to monitor all revenue pipelines- manage prospects and leads
Work closely with functional departments to ensure working in tandem.
Development and review of Business Case
Financial, budget and business modelling experience ideal
Expand, elevate, and grow existing partner relationships while identifying new partner opportunities
Establish and manage strategic partnerships with organizations that have demonstrated the ability to boost the revenue profile whilst simultaneously driving product usage.
Develop a comprehensive strategy for portfolio partnerships based on the unit’s strategic goals and vision
Responsible for growth levers across activation, engagement, monetization, and product-led sales outcomes.
The Ideal Candidate for this role will have:
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
Matric is essential.
3-year business / sales degree or equivalent qualification. Post graduate qualification is advantageous
At least 7+ years’ experience in business and partner management
Overall, at least 2+ years leadership/people management experience is ideal
