We are seeking an experienced and motivated Logistics and Operations professional as Senior Inland First Mile Agent to join our TbM family at Maersk Ghana.
As a key player in our operations, you will be responsible for executing high-quality, cost-efficient customer outcomes across Transported by Maersk (TbM) activities. You will collaborate with multiple stakeholders to achieve desired customer, cost, and standardization outcomes, while ensuring compliance with internal and local regulations. The position will be based in our Tema office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Allocate jobs based on vendor capacity and responsiveness, in conjunction with the Vendor management team.
  • Ensure cost-efficient and timely delivery of TbM products, eliminating avoidable costs.
  • Collaborate with CX agents to provide accurate visibility to customers during execution.
  • Maintain On-Time Delivery as per customer requirements.
  • Optimize customer experience by challenging business rules and limitations.
  • Ensure accurate vendor invoicing and timely payments, in accordance with contractual agreements.
  • Resolve issues quickly and efficiently, prioritizing customer outcomes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve shared goals.
  • Prioritize customer needs and expectations in all aspects of work. * Maintain data integrity by accurately updating related systems.
  • Utilize strong analytical, financial, and reporting skills to communicate insights and recommendations.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the logistics or transportation industry.
  • Fluent English.
  • Inland Logistics, transportation, and Supply chain knowledge.
  • ​Understanding of route planning, import/export procedures, or distribution operations.
  • Proficient in MS Office and curious about new tools and technologies.
  • Degree in Operations, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management (preferable).
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented.
  • Strong sense of urgency and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Knowledge of local market and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong team player with a customer-centric mindset.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Professional qualifications such as CILT or CSCP (added advantage).
