The Management Trainee will support in the investigation of complaints and data security incidents
reported to the Personal Data Protection Office.
Key Accountabilities
a) Support the execution of the investigation of complaints and reported data security breaches.
b) Provide technical guidance with respect to regulatory guidance issued on reported data security breaches.
c) Monitor and report on new and emerging threats to data security in the technology arena.
d) Review descriptions of security measures to safeguard personal data highlighted in applications for registration.
e) Review and action on complaints made regarding contravention of data controllers and processors’ statutory obligation to develop and implement appropriate security measures to safeguard personal data.
f) Any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor
Position Requirements
Education
a) An Honours Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information
Security, or a related field from a recognized university is required.
Experience
• A Minimum of six (6) months of working experience in any field of Information Technology
or Information Security is a requirement.
• Experience in data protection and privacy, cyber security, and risk management is an added
advantage
Technical Expertise
a) Understanding of trends and developments in the areas of Information Security and risk
management.
b) Basic knowledge of Information Security principles and practices.
