The Special Projects Coordinator, working under the direct supervision of the Chief of Mission, is responsible for administering and publicizing, as appropriate, all aspects of the U.S. Ambassador’s Special Self-Help Fund
(SSH), the Democracy & Human Rights Fund II (DHRF), the PEPFAR Small Grants Program, the PEPFAR Gender Challenge Fund, and other small grants projects. These projects are generally small scale, distinct, short-term,
and intended to have a high impact.
Qualifications and Evaluations
- Requirements:
- All selected candidates must be able to obtain and hold a:
Law-Risk/Public Trust security clearance.
All selected candidates will be subject to a background investigation and may be subject to a pre-employment medical exam.
Selected candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time upon receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end. - Education Requirements:
- Two years’ post-secondary education.

At least one year’s experience in grants management, project management, budget management, or government is required.
Language:
English: Level 4 Fluent Speaking/Reading/Writing English is required. This may be tested.
