Job description

Coca-Cola Beverages Africa requires the services of a Process Operators, reporting to the Manufacturing Unit Manager. The purpose of a Process Operator is to operate and maintain the packaging process, execute the shift production schedule and to ensure optimal equipment effectiveness, quality and performance targets are met.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Operate, maintain process control and produce to schedule (WIs) • Record relevant information on all short interval control documents (WIs) • Perform required quality tests and analyses, and request specialist quality analyses from laboratory QC Technicians where appropriate • Perform autonomous maintenance tasks according to the maintenance schedule and carry out “minor” repairs (ATM) • Solve situational problems and do root cause analysis • Provide information for and participate in situational and systemic problem solving as required • Ensure that the process are in complies with GMP and 5S standards • Ensure that the correct escalation procedure is followed • Ensure safety standards are adhered to  • Start up the machine according to the work instruction • Monitor the process for the machine (Using the PIMS and POMS) against the standard • Prepare for change overs • During a breakdown be at the machine and support the artisan to learn more about the machine • Verify the production plan and verify raw materials to produce the plan.

Skills, Experience & Education

Grade 12 (Science & Mathematics as subjects are a definite requirement) ·Arelevant tertiary qualification will be a definite advantage ·Two (2) years relevant technical experience in the FMCG/Manufacturing industry·Basic computer knowledge ·  Good Hygiene practices · Strong team player • Must have excellent communication skills • Result and Execution driven • Must be a self-starter and be able to work under pressure • Must have good ‘trouble shooting’ skills.
