MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Professional qualification in a relevant discipline (Safety, Environment, Engineering, Mining, Metallurgy)
- Occupational safety, health & environment management (OSHEMAC) qualification or equivalent
- Experience in operational SHEQ management (BMS) with at least six years working experience as a SHEQ Officer in mining operations
- Experience in SHEQ management systems (ISO45001, ISO14001 & ISO 9001)
- A good understanding of the mining industry SHEQ legislation and processes

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Implementing Zimplats integrated Business Management System (BMS)
- Enforcing SHEQ legislation, code of practices, standards and procedures
- Assisting the Mine in establishing and implementing SHEQ interventions and programs
- Reviewing and monitoring SHEQ risks and controls
- Coordinating the implementation of SHEQ initiatives
- Tracking, analyzing and evaluating SHEQ leading and lagging indicators and establishment of relevant interventions
- Promote a positive safety culture
- Conducting BMS audits and inspections and tracking compliance to BMS requirements
- Assisting operations in incidents/NCs investigations
- Conducting training and awareness on SHEQ requirements
