Key Result Areas
• Handles recruitment & hiring, employee relations, career development, performance management, data analytics, learning & development etc. to support the HRBP in implementing efficient client services that help either attract, retain and/or motivate staff of the highest caliber.
• Enforces compliance with Old Mutual policies, procedures, labour laws and other applicable legislation.
• Ensures accurate and timely advice to clients on HR processes and policies, ensuring the highest level of client-orientation.
•Supports and contributes to HR strategy formulation and implementation, by providing feedback and recommendations on the establishment and improvement of HR systems, policies and processes.
• Keeps abreast, benchmarks, and implements best and cutting-edge practices in HR management.
• Ensures employee records are maintained accurately in line with company policy and data privacy regulations.
• Assists with payroll and the day-to-day employee group benefits ie. Medical aid, pension etc.
• Coordinates and implements various culture and employee wellbeing initiatives in the business.
• Manages relationships with third party providers and consultancies.
• Develops and leverages professional networks within and outside the organisation.
• Understands and complies with all the applicable governance, compliance and risk policies and procedures to ensure an effective Human Capital risk and controls environment.
Requirements: Skills, Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in human resources or relevant field.
• Minimum working experience of 1-2 years working in a generalist HR role.
• Knowledge of various HR functions such as pay & benefits, recruitment, onboarding, training & development,
• Good understanding of labor laws, HR functions, and best practices
• Advanced computer literacy. Experience with the Workday (information system) would be an added advantage.
•Strong affinity for data and analytics.
• Professional HC certification / membership from a recognized institute would be an added advantage.
